First First Friday, 2009

Ben Woodward stopped by our shop recently and combed through a LOT of our posters from the past 5 years. He managed to dig out several favorites and a bunch that we'd honestly kind of forgotten about. Anyways, he's hanging them up all over the Art In The Age store for the month of January, so if you're curious go and take a look. Me and Joel and possibly even Don Vincent Ortega are gonna stop by there this Friday night the 2nd if you, like, want an autograph or something.

E-Z Riderz

Magick Outlaw part-time assistant Don Vincent Ortega printed up a series of posters of photos he collected this year of his friends hanging out with their bikes. They came out real nice. I think he said something about hanging them up at the Barbary, so if you're dancing take a quick long look.

New Prints in the Store

We just added a few prints to the store. If your geocentric views don't center in Philadelphia, they may not be for you...although if they do, then they most certainly are. Rodney Binnion's Keystone Map Company offers a newly revised version of their classic Philadelphia neighborhood map along with a brand new Pennsylvania County one, as well as our King's Highway nod to the route up to our Port Richmond shop.

Pre 9-11

I found the last three remaining copies of this print in my closet this afternoon. I believe there were somewhere around 90-100 prints created and pasted up throughout Philadelphia in late August of 2000. Designed at Kinkos for RE Load and screen printed at Space 1026. Eight colors on newsprint, 24" x 36".

Epic Philly Give-Away

Super-bloggers M.I.S.S. just put up a sweet give-away for the ladies (or the lady in your life) featuring your favorite Philly brands like us, R.E.Load, Fabric Horse & Fleathers. I guess there's probably no such thing as a bad give-away, but I happen to think this deal's especially good. Check it out heeeere...you only got 2 weeks to enter.

Anonymous Fury Cameo, Reprise

Just can't get enough of this dude and his anonymous fury shirt. Fortunately Annette is a regular reader of OK! Weekly and passed along this issue to us. As far as I can tell, this basically proves two points. From the one hand, if you're gonna rehab your public image and make a statement that you're outta kooky-town and back in cool-ville, stop one is to find someone wearing a Magick Outlaw shirt, stand next to them, and make sure the cameras start flyin. On the other side, if for whatever reason your career path in the entertainment world stumbles into a photo-op with Britney, you better believe you've gotta pull on that favorite shirt that makes you look your ultra-coolest. Concensus: Magick Outlaw wins twice. Thanks!

Space Rider Cameo

Sweet surprise to notice Tegan or Sara of Tegan And Sara hiding our Space Rider shirt behind their knees in one of their recent promo shots. I have to admit I didn't know much about them, but I checked them out and I'm happy to say that they are 100% awesome. And great experts of the graphic tee. My new favorite song is this one which is featuring a Blood is the New Black/Milano Chow shirt. Totally good.
